Phil's Birthday

This joins the collection of cards I've made over the years for my brother-in-law's birthday. I can't remember what year this was for, but it was quite early in my crafting "career", so must have been in the early noughties. I speckled a beige coloured card-blank with a piece of natural sponge and brown ink, and echoed the square pattern on the paper with gold Encore metallic ink. Phil's name was made with rub-on lettering, 'HAPPY' was made with a Dymo machine and 'birthday' is a shiny gold peel-off. A strip of embossed gold card accompanies a strip of the chequered paper across the middle, some gold brads and a curly gold clip complete the design.
