As you can see, I made this one up as a wedding invitation. I think it's rubbish for that purpose, but I'm showing it as - with a few tweaks - it would make a nice birthday card, or for another occasion. The wedding vows text could be replaced with some other quote or poem extract, or something.. scripture, maybe, and the 'wedding invitation' words could also be swapped for something more relevant. (The font, by the way, is from a Lisa Bearnson scrapbooking pack I bought once. There was a CD with fonts and downloads on it.)

This stamp is one I made by cutting some funky foam into a square with deckle-edged scissors, mounting it onto cling-mount and then it works with an acrylic block like any other cling-mounted stamp. Perfect! The possibilities are endless.

Golden Hearts wedding invitation

This is one of my favourites from the range of wedding stationery I've been showing, and it will be the last for a while. I hope you have enjoyed them, given that they can be used for so many different things.. not just weddings.

The backing panel is just butter yellow paper, and the hearts are punched out of embossed gold card. The 'wedding invitation' words are computer-generated, and mounted over a strip of cream satin ribbon. The cream paper rose completes the design.

More Snowflake wedding invitations

These are all very similar, all using Kaleidopunch snowflake punches, so I thought I would group them together. They are all pretty simple and obvious, so I'll not insult you with a description. If you do have any questions, I'd love to hear from you.

Snowflake wedding invitation

Pearlescent cardblank that is so shimmery, it sparkles, wrapped with vellum which has a pencil tracing of script-style words, one overlapping the other so it gives a slightly faded effect to the word underneath. A snowflake punched in silver mirror card with a Kaleidopunch, and two silver sequin hearts complete the design.

Gold Wire Leaf wedding invitation

If you are getting bored with all the wedding stationery designs I've been posting, bear in mind that with a change of wording, they could be used for umpteen other different occasions. Also, unless I find a secret stash of photographs I've forgotten about, there aren't that many to come.. only about a week's worth. Please keep that cheering down to a dull roar! 

This is just a piece of gold craft wire that I curved and twisted into the leaf shape, secured mainly underneath the rose heads with glue dots, and a little glue stroked under the other side. The 'Wedding' word is stamped in gold Encore metallic ink, and the 'Invitation' word is a peel-off.

Gold Heart Spray wedding invitation

This is on a kind of pearlescent oyster-ish colour card blank, with a mesh panel and a Sizzix heart. It's an old green die.. the small one, and the heart is cut from embossed gold card. I trimmed a gold bead spray down to a shorter length, stuck them down with a glue dot, and placed a rose head on top.

The 'wedding' word is stamped in gold Encore metallic ink, and the 'invitation' word is a peel-off.

Subtle Twist wedding invitation

Subtle decorative paper panel, with the corner turned back and held with a twisted 'S' shaped curly clip with a satin ribbon and organza knot. The panel is secured to the card with mini gold brads. The word panels and the punched hearts complete the design.

Love Is Patient

The verse is a partial print from a large script stamp which has the whole of this scripture from 1 Corinthians 13. It's mainly the verses from 4-7 that are used in wedding ceremonies:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The purple panel is layered onto co-ordinating vellum. The cross is stamped in gold Encore metallic ink and then heat embossed with UTEE (Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel). The words are stamped with the same gold ink.

Garden Rose wedding invitation

This is one of my all-time favourites for its colour combo, the fact it's a rosebud (obvs), and all the white space. The words are computer-generated and printed directly onto the card. The rest is obvious, and here's a close-up of what I often do with rosebuds.. push a crystal bead right up close to the calyx, and glue it in place.

Fairytale Wedding Invitation

This is not what I normally create for a wedding stationery, nor would I recommend it for anything but the smallest of weddings. It's too complicated and time-consuming for producing in volume.

The words were computer-generated and printed directly onto the card blank. The main focal stamp was from Elzybells, one of my favourite stamp manufacturers, sadly ceased trading at least a decade ago.. I shaded the background, glittered it, coloured the flower and added the gems, tore around and inked the edges, feathered the mulberry paper and glued the panel to it. Then I stamped the stripes in the background (also Elzybells), tied the delicate glittery silver thread wrap and mounted the panel on 3D pads.  A pair of hearts punched out of embossed silver card complete the design.

Mod Roses Save the Date card

I called this 'Mod Roses' because of the sharp geometric shapes, inspired by the reflections in the holographic card. Red and green together is a favourite combination for me, especially when there are bright, jewel colours involved. Pressed Rosebuds wedding invitation

Although there seems to be more on the card this time, it's still very simple.. just matting and layering rose print paper on white card, with a stamped panel, repeat stamped with the words in first, second and third generation. The pressed rosebuds are glued on and secured with a silver glitter thread wrap. A silver dragonfly brad and a couple of tiny heart sequins complete the design.

Mulberry Rosebud wedding invitation

I wasn't sure about posting this one, as it's such a poor quality photo. You will have to use your imaginations a bit... It's a purple rosebud with a clear bead tucked up under the calyx, with a neatly straightened and trimmed stem. The head is glued to a square of embossed silver card, layered onto some feathered purple mulberry paper. The words are stamped in silver Encore metallic ink.

It's very simple, but I love it. You could change the colours and the words for other themes and occasions. I hope you can see through the horrendous photo!

Tropical Beach Weddings

Some ideas for beach weddings, especially of the tropical variety. The one above just uses an image cut out of a brochure, a couple or three punched hearts and words stamped in silver Encore metallic ink. I would rethink the blue ink edging around the photo.. it doesn't work. Maybe black. Of course, if you're making 100 wedding invitations, you'll need a lot of brochures, but fortunately, there are lots of pictures of beaches in those things!

This one above just uses punched squares inked in blue, with punched silver palm trees and the words stamped in silver again. Quicker and easier than the brochure option!

This one uses a Kaleidocolor inkpad on the seashells which gives that graduated colour. Silver peel-off words, silver punched hearts, layered onto torn vellum (which you could chalk a bit to give it a pale blue tint), and some light blue cord.

This one is just a roughly sketched beach, a silver punched palm tree, couple of silver sequin hearts, which although they are tiny, they are fiercely reflective, and then the words in this case are handwritten.

Clearly Autumn

A bit less simple than my usual wedding stationery, using an acetate base, which always complicates things a little. Of course, with a different sentiment, this could be used for other occasions. Here, I've used pearlescent ivory card and embossed gold mirror card, cut with deckled fancy-edge scissors. Brown skeleton leaf, punched gold hearts and beads tied onto the spine with glittery gold thread.

Rose Heart wedding invitation

The 'Wedding Invitation' words were computer-generated, as were the swirly flourishes. The little heart flourish is stamped and coloured with art markers, and the rosebud just trimmed, beaded and stuck onto the card with glue dots.

Glitter Hearts Rose wedding invitation

As (nearly) always, my wedding invitation designs are deliberately very simple, and of course, they can be easily swapped for another occasion by changing the sentiment.

This one is made simply by punching some hearts at random angles in some glitter card, 'draped' with an open rose with a curved stem, and the words here are stamped in silver Encore metallic ink.

Pink Circles wedding invitation

Hearts punched into different shades of pink paper and vellum circles, finishing with a glittered rose. Save The Date stamped in silver Encore metallic ink.
