A Recent Recycled Birthday Card

This one was made in a hurry for a friend's mum, posted 1st class on a Tuesday to arrive in plenty of time for the big day on Saturday. Didn't arrive until the following Wednesday! The image is from a card I received, and only the top half, at that, so watch out for the bottom half coming to a card near you! The rest is pretty self-explanatory, so I'll leave it there. Feels good to be back! Home, again. x

Now, I can see the front image. It's gorgeous, Chris. I'm glad that I'm not the only one who uses old cards. In fact, started looking at junk mail and packaging to use in my cards. Thank you...

Thanks, Jaime. It's great to hear about more people thinking about how they can re-use everyday items for all kinds of things. I have stopped using baby/wet wipes in my crafting, too, and use discarded packaging instead of 3D foam pads. The wall of most boxes is a perfect depth for just giving that little bit extra dimension. I cut them down and just apply with glue. If anything, it's quicker than picking off those annoying fiddly little bits of unrecyclable plastic backing! You can also paint the sides of the pieces so they are less visible underneath your top layers.
