More resignations... :'o(

Finished work at 9.00pm again, and my days just seem to be getting longer. Not that I am complaining.. I am loving my job, and it's not that anyone is asking me to work long hours... I choose to. But it has totally squeezed my cardmaking mojo dry, I'm afraid.

So - with heavy heart - I have chosen to resign from another couple of teams..... the Basic Grey Challenge blog and the Inspirational team. I have loved them, but I don't want my cardmaking and blog-hopping to be a source of pressure and stress because I am letting people down. It should be fun!

I am sticking with Anice at Funky Hand for as long as I decide to continue cardmaking, as she was the first one to offer me the opportunity, but - to be truthful - I am feeling like my mojo has gone for good, and I am beginning to look at my craft room and thinking what else I could do with it..... hmmm.

Maybe after I've made a few cards just for fun, my muse will return, but we'll see.

Glad you are loving your job... It is hard to craft after a busy day/ week of working though!!
Don't you dare do something else with your craft room yet .. do some things for you/ just for fun and I bet your muse WILL return :)

(sorry I have not been here in a while!)

Hi Chris

Just wanted to say I am so sorry you have decided to resign from BG but I totally understand your reasons. It has been a pleasure working with you and you have given me so much inspiration (and new words in my vocabulary !!! LOL)and for that I thank you so much.

Please don't give up your crafting, you are far too good to give up and I am sure that when your life calms down, you will look at it again and go back to it with loads of mojo.

Keep in touch and join us when you can and I'll keep popping by to have a look at your fabby work and say hello.

Take care and look after yourself.

Heaps of love,

Jo xx

Hi Chris, I'm glad that you are enjoying your job, but don't redecorate that craft room yet! I know your mind is consumed with new things you are learning right now, but in a short while, you won't need to think so hard about work and then your crafty mind will start dreaming up new lovely cards! Just wait and see!

Hugs,
Katie

Sorry to hear about your mojo.............I don't always feel like Crafting but I think you'd regret not having your Craft Room!

I can understand your new job taking up all your time and you have to give it your full concentration at the mo but there will come a time when you will probably need your Hobby for release!

And we'll miss all your wonderful creations!

Take care

Hey Chris, glad to hear that you are enjoying the job but don't go giving up the craft just yet, we will miss your lovely creations too much :)

Don't put pressure on yourself, have a break and do some pieces just for fun - even if they do not turn into anything to blog about :)

Take care.

I am so sorry to seeing you go Chris. I am just getting to know you and work with you. But when things that are enjoyable suddenly become the opposite of that, then I can understand what you may be going through. Take a break and then after the holidays see what comes up. I am going to put your blog on my blog roll so I can stop by and see what you are up to. Good luck! I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas season and look forward to what the year has in store for you.

{{HUGS}} and take care!
Kristen

Hi Chris, so pleased you are enjoying your job, thats great. Dont change your craft room, keep it as a thinking place for now with all your lovely craft stuff around you before you know it you'll be cutting sticking stamping anad glittering again. You say in your profile you love cardmaking and scrapbooking, and you can tell that by the way you put so much into your creations. The craftworld will be a sorry place should you decide to leave it my dear! The challenges and blogs will always be there should you decide to return to them. Enjoy your week X

Oooo Chris
I am so pleased that your loving your job so much and I agree that resigning for you could be the right thing at the moment. I know that you would not want to rush things as everything you do, you put your love heart and soul into whatever it is, and time does not allow for that now!
I can bare to miss you on your DTs, but would hate to loose you as a friend.
chat soon
hugs

Have you sen your last few cards- I think you are perhpas blind to your own mojo. Pressure to hop and make is bad, but to run from your talent... that's sad :( You amaze me always!

Now listen here...this is Mrs Bossy Knickers and I will none of this negative thinking...your mojo is only off on a little holiday....just like it needs a little rest...so just patient or I will personally come down there and seriously slap your legs....know exactly how you feel sweetheart but it will get better.
Lots of Love

Your mojo hasn't gone, it's on holiday with mine in Cuba. I had a postcard from them today, they are having a great time and my mojo has become addicted to cuban cigars. Yours is now an expert salsa dancer.
Just give yourself a break sweetie, concentrate on, and enjoy your new job. You'll get back to crafting when it feels like fun again

Sorry to hear abou the mojo, but to be quite honest I totally understand where you are coming from. When you have a very great other hobby (work) that can happen, and lets face it, work should be something you really like. I am very happy for you in that regard, Chris.

I think it's wise to pull back- sometimes we just want to do *everything*, and we simply can't! It will probably help you to enjoy the holidays more! We don't want your cardmaking mojo to dry up completely! :)
