Christmas Scrapling..

This is not recycled by cannibalising another card, but by using up the scrap piece of card left over when making a 6" square card blank out of an A5 (5" x 7") card.

I learned about these from one of my all-time favourite crafters, Paula Whittaker. You can see her wonderful work on her blog, Cardcraft Creations, and see her definition of 'scraplings' from her challenge a little while ago on the Daring Cardmakers challenge blog. It's a really useful way of using up your scraps!

(Haven't seen you blog for a while, Paula.. I hope you're OK. Was happy to receive your comment here recently. Happy New Year to you, talented lady.)
This one wasn't intended to be used this way. I was just using the scrap to punch snowflakes, and just liked the random shapes it left, and - well - you know how the process works!

It works, doesn't it?

Wow Chris, you certainly have been busy. Lovely to see you back and recovered from the lurgies.
Thanks so much for those lovely comments too-it's so kind of you.
Also noticed your Inchies and Twinchies poem for the first time and it's fabulous, and I'd love to share this with the ladies at Stamp Club next time if that's OK with you. I think they'll love it!
Hugs, Fliss xx

Hi, Fliss.. Thank you! :o) Yes, please feel free to use it. I just ask to get a mention, but I'm sure that in your case, that goes without saying.

Hugs,
Chris xx

Glad you seem to be back to your usual chirpy self Chris. My sore throat keeps returning to 'bug' me every evening but hasn't developed into anything worse so far thank goodness.

I love the card. Leftovers never looked so elegant!

Hugs
Lesley Xx

PS Thanks for being so kind and taking the time to visit Jamie's new blog and leaving your comments. Xx

Hi Chris, thank you for the nice comment you left on my blog!! We have a good God and we can not even begin to really know how much He loves us! But if we look and keep our hearts and eyes open we see His love thru the little things. It may be a from the smile of a stranger, a hug from a child or just some passing comment someone makes. It happened to me just today, when a stranger went out of her way to help me find just the right fabric I needed. We parted with a hug and though I may never see her again, she was part of that cord for me!
Lesley has been there for me also, even though we live miles away from each other and have never met face to face. I consider her one of my dearest friends.
